2025 Goals and Objectives

GOALS

The primary goal of the MATCH Coalition is to inform key stakeholders and promote related policies, guidelines, and regulations that support the adoption and application of clinically appropriate technology for the betterment of antenatal, perinatal, and postpartum care outcomes by fostering activities in the areas of research, education, and innovation.

OBJECTIVES

  • Increase knowledge and education among government bodies, industry peer groups, trade associations, professional bodies, and patient advocacy groups by providing information and recommendations from industry best practices and lessons learned.

  • Advocate for increased availability, accessibility, and affordability of technology-based solutions for women and birthing people during the perinatal period who are socially or economically disadvantaged, including those who are older, live in rural areas, are from racial or ethnic minority populations, or face barriers that are culturally driven. This can be done by drawing attention to research, listening sessions, and other activities that demonstrate the effective adoption of such methodologies, and recommending provisions that enable access to medically underserved individuals and communities.

  • Provide thought leadership on the usage and value of technology innovation and services in support of improving maternal physical and mental health and wellness, and educate relevant government agencies, lawmakers, maternal health advocacy organizations, and women’s health organizations on the advancement of technology-enabled value-based maternal health care, e.g. access to telehealth and remote maternal health monitoring.

  • Advocating for the privacy and security of personal health data and consumer protection to eliminate the potential misuse of data and to further support the integrity of relationships between providers and patients.

  • Increase awareness about the role and value of digital technology in addressing maternity deserts and in particular the needs of rural communities.

  • Provide historical and forward-looking assessments of maternal health applications of digital technology.

  • Strengthen relationships with relevant agencies including the Office of Women’s Health, HRSA, CDC, and the Black Maternal Health Caucus.
